Flooding in Farin Gada area of Jos Residents of Angwan Jarawa in Farin Gada area of Jos, Plateau State, have cried out over flooding that ravaged the community on Tuesday. Some of the residents told the Peoples Gazette that the community has been battling flooding for some years. It was observed that a bridge in the community was also flooded worsened by rising rivers, poor drainage system, and blocked inlets.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in collaboration with the Ideal Community Aid Africa (ICAA), organised a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration exercise in Jos, Plateau State, on Saturday. The event, held at the Jos City Park, was aimed at encouraging Nigerians to obtain their PVCs ahead of the 2027 general elections.
