Reading between the bases: technological advances in RNA modification detection
Abstract Despite the rapid expansion of epitranscriptomics, accurately detecting and mapping RNA modifications remains a major technical challenge that limits our understanding of their functional and therapeutic relevance. More than 170 chemical RNA modifications have been identified, collectively shaping the epitranscriptome through dynamic regulation of RNA processing, stability, localization, and translation.
Mitochondrial IκBα fuels cancer progression through metabolic rewiring, endothelial activation, and thrombotic spread

Abstract Mitochondria play a central role in metastatic spread and cancer progression, with the IκBα/NF-κB signaling axis acting as a key regulator of both processes. We suggest that a stable fraction of IκBα localizes to mitochondria, where it escapes proteasomal degradation and acquires oncogenic functions independent of its canonical role in NF-κB inhibition.
