ASHLAND, Ore. - According to court documents, after Oregon Court of Appeals overturned Robert Keegan's manslaughter conviction on June 22, he posted $50,000 to go out on bail on June 25. Robert Keegan was convicted in 2023, and sentenced to 10 years in prison. After a decision by the court of appeals, that conviction and sentence have now been vacated. ASHLAND, Ore.

ASHLAND, Ore. - The Oregon Court of Appeals has overturned Robert Paul Keegan's 2023 manslaughter conviction in the shooting death of 19-year-old Aidan Ellison. Keegan, 53, was found guilty of manslaughter in the first degree after a jury acquitted him of second-degree murder in May 2023. The case stems from the Nov. 23, 2020 shooting in the parking lot of the Stratford Inn in Ashland. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison under Measure 11, but that conviction and sentence have now been vacated.

UPDATE 4/1 at 9:34 a.m.: Blaine Howitt's trial with a 12-person jury was cancelled after being scheduled for Monday. The former America's Best Kids employee is facing 27 criminal charges after being accused of taking pictures of female staff members in a staff changing room.
