Another commitment from a top-50 player in the world and major champion was announced by the 3M Open on Monday. Hideki Matsuyama, the 2021 Masters champion, will be in the field at TPC Twin Cities at the end of the month. The Japanese star joins a recent slew of top-50 commits set to play in Minnesota’s lone PGA Tour event, which will be highlighted by World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler is a four-time major champion.
