What was your first job as a journalist?
I started off as the 5pm producer for a NBC affiliate in Ohio.

No
How is social media changing news?
It's allowing viewers to get information directly from reporters as it's happening, but also adding more pressure to be faster but accurate
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
The entire cast of HBO's Newsroom.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To dig for truth, and be the prime watchdog for my viewers, giving them the stories they need and want to know about.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
#LiveON (insert news station here) when they clearly aren't on air.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I like to know the questions people want to know, and as much as the who, what, when, where and why as possible.

Why did you become a journalist?
I was always very curious about things, and had a knack for being on camera. It just fit.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I worked with the Yearbook and TV class
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I like feature stories that have a historical element, but I'm always a breaking news junkie.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Work hard, and try you're best to learn what you can. Be humble when you start to succeed.
