Berry, who passed away on July 17 after battling brain cancer. He was 75. Berry began working with the City of Oklahoma City on September 1. 1970, as a community service officer with the Oklahoma City Police Department and was sworn in as a police officer one year later.
Moore police report rise in DUI calls after crash involving infant
MOORE, Okla. — A Moore woman is facing DUI and child endangerment charges after police said she caused a rollover crash while her 11-month-old baby was inside the vehicle. Police said the crash is a reminder of the dangers of impaired driving, as officers report an increase in DUI-related incidents across the city. Since May 1, Moore police have responded to more than 60 DUI-related calls, according to department spokesperson Clint Byley.

Police are investigating after two people were hospitalized following a motorcycle crash near NW 47th Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue just before 8 p.m. Friday. Authorities said the people injured in the wreck were not wearing helmets. Investigators are working to determine if any other vehicles were involved in the crash.
OKCPS hosts final weekend enrollment event Saturday for families ahead of new school year

OKCPS said the event is designed to make sure families and students are prepared and ready to learn on the first day of school, August 11. College Avenue to close between Brooks and Cruce starting July 17 for concrete repairs
NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — The City of Norman is reminding residents of a road closure on College Avenue starting Friday, July 17. Starting July 17, College Avenue between Brooks Street and Cruce Street is closing as crews complete concrete panel replacement work. The City said work is expected to continue for two to three weeks, and access to nearby businesses, properties, and parking areas will be maintained through construction.
