Based in Los Angeles, Jackie Newgent, RDN, is a classically trained chef, plant-forward registered dietitian nutritionist, award-winning cookbook author, professional recipe developer, media personality, spokesperson, and food writer. She works as a culinary nutrition advisor to major food companies, cooking instructor at The Gourmandise School, nutrition coach for My Peak Challenge, and Forbes Health advisory board member. She's a contributor to Health.

What was your first job as a journalist?

Writing for a heart healthy website when the internet was new(ish) The site is no longer live, but I was thrilled they took a chance on me.
