LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The Clark County School District has confirmed to FOX5 that police have paused the use of Flock cameras while the newly appointed chief reviews procedures. In a statement shared Wednesday, CCSD confirmed that the new CCSDPD Chief Jeff Clark will be “reviewing all CCSDPD procedures, including the use of FLOCK® System cameras.” The district says until the review is complete, the use of the Flock System cameras will be paused.

Human remains discovered at Lake Mead National Recreation Area
LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Authorities are investigating the latest set of human remains found Sunday at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, officials said. A 911 call was placed around 4 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Boulder Beach. National Park Service rangers and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene to secure the area and recover the remains. LVMPD said a non-criminal dead body report was taken as the Clark County Coroner responded to the scene.

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — County officials have deemed a building unsafe for entry after a strip mall’s roof collapsed on Wednesday. Shortly before noon on Wednesday at 6105 W. Flamingo Rd., Clark County Fire crews rescued three people from both buildings, cutting through a wall to free one person who was trapped inside Marco’s Pizza. Officials confirmed no one was seriously hurt. The building housed a Subway and Marco’s Pizza.
