Smoke from Canadian wildfires has been plaguing cities across the Great Lakes for the past week and it will push further south behind a July cold front. Both Kansas and Missouri are expected to have some wildfire smoke in the low levels of the atmosphere by midday Tuesday.

Happy Saturday! We’re starting off with clouds north of I-70 along with a few showers out east. This will break down throughout the morning. Additional clouds should form up this afternoon and another pop-up storm chance is out there after 3 PM. Another PM storm chance is in store tomorrow as well. The heat will also be building throughout the weekend: from low/mid 90s today and tomorrow to upper 90s Monday ahead of a Tuesday “cold” front.
