Don’t be too surprised if a downpour pops up over you as you’re out and about today. Rain should stay away for tomorrow as highs make a run into the mid-90s.

FOX4 Forecast: Building weekend heat

Happy Saturday! We’re starting off with clouds north of I-70 along with a few showers out east. This will break down throughout the morning. Additional clouds should form up this afternoon and another pop-up storm chance is out there after 3 PM. Another PM storm chance is in store tomorrow as well. The heat will also be building throughout the weekend: from low/mid 90s today and tomorrow to upper 90s Monday ahead of a Tuesday “cold” front.

Happy Sunday! Today’s another near-average day for mid-July: mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Thanks to several dry days ahead, the heat/humidity will slowly increase in our area day-to-day. 90-degree highs should start Wednesday into next weekend, with the heat index creeping up to 100 degrees or higher by the weekend as well. Rain (and any change of pace really) is hard to find over the next seven days.
