Rougetet earns podium finish at NCAA Outdoor championships

Sophomore Marie Rougetget made Bulldog track and field history on Thursday. The thrower from Chalindrey, France, spun, and launched the hammer in the third round. As soon as it left her hands, Rougetet yelled in jubilation and watched it fly. She had just had one of the biggest throws in Mississippi State history. Rougetet’s 69.71m mark earned her a bronze medal, and a spot on the podium at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Rougetet also earned first-team All-American honors.

Transfer portal tracker: Who’s in, who’s out?

According to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports, seven Bulldogs have entered the portal, and three will be making their way to Starkville in 2027. Here’s a look at who’s in and who’s out. Outgoing Pitchers LHP Charlie Foster – The sophomore started nine games, appearing in 15 for the Bulldogs in 2026. He had an ERA of 6.69 over 36.1 innings of work.

Former MSU baseball coach Chris Lemonis hired at Coastal Carolina

A former Mississippi State Baseball coach has his new home. Chris Lemonis was hired as the head coach of Coastal Carolina on Thursday. Lemonis spent 2019-25 leading Mississippi State, and took the Bulldogs to their first-ever national championship in 2021. “I’m excited to be here,” Lemonis said in a video posted by Coastal Carolina Baseball.
