Bettinardi introduces fresh ‘Queen B’ putters with 1 major change
Bettinardi Golf is bringing a fresh look and new technology to one of its most recognizable putter collections with the announcement of the 2027-2028 Queen B Series. Since its introduction in 2012, the Queen B lineup has stood out for its distinctive head shapes and premium finishes, and this latest release continues that tradition while introducing some notable performance updates.
Ping's 2027 driver lineup hits USGA conforming list, includes new G450 mini driver
It's that time of year again: the USGA conforming list is filling up with new additions, in this case with much of the gear we'll see players gaming on the major tours in 2027. On Monday, four new models from the Ping G450 family hit the list, which is where any new club needs to live before it's officially approved. My personal hunch? We might see the likes of Neal Shipley or Austin Eckroat putting this line into play, but we'll wait and see.

1 swing can be enough to make a fitting decision | Fully Equipped
On this week’s Fully Equipped podcast with our new team member McKenzie Steenson, we got to talking about strategy in fittings and how to make sure you get the most out of the experience. Our gear team is about to embark on a 10-day journey testing all of the 2027 product and McKenzie is going to be getting several fittings so here’s the advice I gave her based on my experience last year.

Andrew Novak’s breakthrough Mexico Open win gave him a priceless gift
Andrew Novak was honest in the hours after the moment he’d waited his whole life for. “I probably won’t do that again in my PGA Tour career,” Novak said on Sunday night at Vidanta Vallarta. “That” was shooting 19 under over two rounds, with a bogey on a par-5. That came during the middle two rounds at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open, as Novak built a six-shot lead heading into Sunday’s final round in search of the first solo PGA Tour win of his career.
Andrew Novak WITB: Mexico Open champion bags another win for Srixon’s Z-Star XV
A ton of players on the PGA Tour will catch your eye on a driving range. Some for pure beauty of the action, some because they are just cool looking and some that are not only unique but absolutely flush it. When I say unique, I mean the overall action of his golf swing. Homemade? Yes. But athletic and efficient? Hell yes. This week in Mexico, Andrew Novak put on an absolute ball-striking and putting clinic.
LIV ‘going to be done right’: 7 takeaways from Bryson DeChambeau interview
Bryson DeChambeau says he cares “deeply” about team golf. And that LIV Golf’s business model “makes a lot of sense.” And that the LIV Golf “2.0” model makes “full financial sense.” No, the two-time U.S. Open winner hasn’t publicly said whether he will rejoin the league after the loss of its primary backer, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, and the exit of multiple players following the announcement that it plans to be reconfigured.
If you really want lower scores, let your fitter make the rules | Fully Equipped
On this week's episode of the Fully Equipped Podcast, I got to sit down and introduce our new team member, McKenzie Steenson, to chat about coming up in the golf industry, how I was able to snatch her up for the GOLF team and some interesting fitting topics she wanted to discuss. One of those topics was how I handle my own fittings and how I plan to handle my fittings moving forward as we embark on our 2027 launch content production trip.
2026 Vidanta World Mexico Open purse: Payout info, winner’s share
The third-round lead at the Vidanta World Mexico Open was great. The opportunity for a first solo win on the PGA Tour was great. The potential for a million-dollar payday was great. But something else was occupying Andrew Novak’s mind on Saturday night at Vidanta Vallarta golf course. The University of Miami football team was playing the University of North Carolina, and he’s a UM guy. “Yeah, we’ve got Canes-Tar Heels,” Novak said after his third round. “I’ll be chirping Ben, for sure.
He wanted another chance at the Masters. He made history to get it Original
Last year, Thailand’s Fifa Laopakdee stormed back from six shots down on Sunday to win the 2025 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Dubai, punching his ticket to the 2026 Masters and Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. That day at Emirates Golf Club, the Arizona State Sun Devil said he sings songs to calm his nerves during big tournaments, a mental hack he borrowed from fellow Thai star Jeeno Thitikul.
PXG's Bob Parsons pledges up to $10 million and free fittings for all veterans
Bob Parsons has never been shy about his love and appreciation for the United States Armed Forces, particularly his Marines, and he's (again) putting his money where his mouth is by going above and beyond to support our country's veterans. For the 15th year in a row, the Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation and PXG are offering to match up to $10M in donations as part of their Double Down for Veterans Match Campaign with Semper Fi & America's Fund.

2027 off-site Tour testing is in full swing, and Ping’s new star has very cool set-up | Tour Report
Welcome to Fully Equipped’s weekly Tour equipment report. Every Friday of PGA Tour weeks (plus other times, if news warrants), The Fully Equipped Team runs you through some of the biggest news surrounding golf clubs on Tour, including changes, tweaks and launches. As we head into the final stretch of the PGA Tour season, the prevailing theory is that, from an equipment standpoint, things slow down.
When he sensed golf had ‘changed,’ he launched golf-apparel brand for the people Original
Like many off-again-on-again golfers, Neil Tan returned to the game during the COVID pandemic. As a New York City resident working from home in a 400-square-foot apartment, he found that golf provided a much-needed outdoor respite. The game had changed from Tan’s youth, too. It was 2020, and Tan, who then was 34, sensed that golf had a new vibe. “As I started picking back up my clubs, I was just like, Oh my gosh. The game is, like, kind of refreshing,” Tan said in a recent phone interview.

Whether you have an extensive gift list of golf lovers to cover this holiday season or are simply eager to treat yourself to some new items, the next six weeks present an ideal time to scope out some fresh gear. How Odyssey’s new TRTL putters put trust back in your stroke
If you’ve spent any time on the putting green lately, you’ve noticed the trend: mallets are winning. So it’s no shock Odyssey is leaning into it with its new TRTL lineup, bringing more animalistic inspiration to the mallet market. This lineup has high aspirations to compete for market share in a crowded space, but if there’s any company up to the task, it’s going to be the team over at Odyssey. The TRTL technically comes in two flavors.
These turtle-themed Callaway Chrome Tour golf balls aren't just for show
Slow down and line it up. That's the idea behind Callaway's limited-edition Chrome Tour TRTL , and I'll admit it's one of the more charming ball releases I've seen this year. Golf ball graphics usually fall into two camps: functional or gimmicky. The TRTL tries to be both. The turtle-inspired design is playful, but it's also built to help you with alignment. Anyone who has stood over a putt trying to square a logo to the line knows that a little visual help goes a long way.

20 useful golf gifts we love under $50
‘Tis the season to start thinking about holiday shopping, and there’s nothing we love more than a good bargain when it comes to selecting gifts for our golf-loving friends and family. While costs feel like they are creeping up in every category these days, there are still plenty of great and useful options available for $50 or less — many of which make some aspects of playing the game much more convenient. How about a magnetic sleeve that enables your water bottle to stick to the golf cart?
Austin Smotherman WITB: Bermuda champion’s setup conquered windy conditions
Austin Smotherman is on an absolute heater. Just weeks after his maiden PGA Tour win at the Bank of Utah Championship, he backed it up by capturing the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in a sudden-death Monday playoff. Mother Nature tried to completely wreck the script at Port Royal Golf Course, with heavy Atlantic gales howling so fiercely they wiped out Sunday’s scheduled final round.
Why this specific grind from Cleveland’s new RTZ 2 lineup has me intrigued Original
Now that the season is “over” (meaning I have played all my important golf and I’m in a tinkering phase) I have started to test a ton of gear to see what’s out there — or what I may have liked in testing but didn’t have time to fully evaluate for my bag. One of the pieces that I just seem to keep coming back to is the Cleveland RTZ 2 Adapt grind.
Dial in on these keys to build the perfect set of clubs
“They make it look so easy.” I’m sure you’ve heard this, said this, thought this. Sure, technique and talent are key components of the pro game, but what if I told you that picking your next set of sticks in the right way can make the “effortless” part possible for you too? Here are a few thoughts on how that works. Pay attention to the bottom end of your bag. It’s common for rec players to grab two or three wedges off the rack and assume they’ll be serviceable. But there’s much more to it than that.
FLASH SALE! Take 30 percent off Edel SMS irons and wedges this weekend Original
What if it were possible to unlock greater distance and accuracy without changing your swing? That’s what Edel’s SMS — “Swing Match Weighting” — technology aims to do. Edel’s SMS irons feature three moveable weights behind the clubface, which can be arranged to maximize your performance by enhancing the swing you already have.
PXG just gave its mini driver a speed boost
If you’ve been eyeing a mini driver as a way to ensure a fairway in regulation when the driver might not be the play, PXG has something new to consider. The company just rolled out an updated Secret Weapon, and the pitch is simple: big-stick pop, fairway-wood manners. A lot of the thinking here came straight from PXG’s popular Lightning woods lineup. Three pieces of that tech made the jump: a thinner face, a refined internal sole structure, and optimized weighting.
Inside Stephen Curry’s Miura Irons: Bringing together golf mastery and basketball royalty Original
If you’ve spent any time tracking gear trends with me or following Stephen Curry’s journey on the golf course, you already know he doesn’t just dabble in the game—he treats it with the exact same obsessive craft, discipline, and competitive fire he brings to the hardwood. There’s nothing casual about how Curry feels about his golf game or the companies he partners with. Funny thing is, Miura doesn’t play that game either.
Miura x Curry: Here’s your chance to secure one of the year’s most exclusive drops
If you’re a club connouisseur — or simply a fan of legendary partnerships — you surely already have your calendar marked for Monday, October 19: The day Miura’s iron collab with Steph Curry goes live. No, that’s not a typo! The Miura x Curry limited-edition combo set is inspired by the irons in Steph’s own bag, pairing the TC-202 QPQ long irons (4-6) with the MB-101 QPQ scoring irons (7-PW). And of course, fun custom details abound.
Don’t miss this! Rapsodo’s mobile launch monitor is currently on sale for $129.99!
There’s no denying the fact that when it comes to improving your game, knowledge is power. And what better way to gain that knowledge than by gathering intel on your swing? That’s what a mobile launch monitor is capable of doing. These portable accessories can deliver your swing’s insightful data right into the palm of your hand.
Looking for a great holiday golf gift? These popular shoes are a slam dunk
There’s nothing like a new pair of shoes. And receiving said shoes as a holiday gift? Even better! If you’re looking for a golf gift that exudes a bit of wow factor, golf shoes are a great option. The price point can vary from fairly modest to high-end, but regardless of how much you spend, you can rest assured that the gift of golf shoes is one that will be both appreciated and useful. But with literally hundreds of options to choose from, where does one start?
This year, my golf holiday wish list is all about the little things
For a guy who loves golf, but works in golf, the holidays can be tough on my family. They want to buy me fun, big, cool gear, but I've already got it all. Half the time, they've also got it themselves as I pass on the collection of items I am so lucky to collect in this role. However, there's one thing we've started to agree on for the holidays: Buy me the stuff I hate buying myself. Tees, gloves, golf balls, spikes, ball makers, repair tools and club brushes all make the list.
5 keys for fixing the ‘chicken wing’ in your golf swing
If you struggle with a “chicken wing” in your golf swing, I’ve got good news: it can be fixed. Part of the reason it is so important to take lessons from a great instructor is that the chicken wing is often a necessary compensation for an earlier issue in the swing. In other words, simply trying to eliminate the chicken wing may not fix the problem. You first need to understand why it is happening. Here are five things you can do to fix your chicken-wing swing.
His clubs were missing. Adam Scott’s rare blades were his backup plan
Usually, the airline losing a player’s clubs in transit to a tournament is a horror story. But this week in Switzerland, Rafa Cabrera-Bello is making the most of it, especially by taking the opportunity to play some of the rarest irons in golf. The four-time DP World Tour winner’s clubs didn’t arrive in time for this week’s Omega European Masters, so he had to scrounge together a replacement set for the first two rounds at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club.
What’s more important: the shaft or the head? According to a fitter Original
As long as there’s been custom fitting, golfers have wondered if the head or the shaft makes the difference in a driver fitting. On this week’s episode of GOLF’s Fully Equipped, co-host Johnny Wunder asked Impact Golf’s Eric Chung, one of Maylasia best fitters, what he thinks makes the fit. “I like to keep things relatively simple with everything I do. But I’ve always favored heads,” Chung said.
These handy stickers can help you become a better ball striker
The simplest way to hit the ball better? Strike it with the center of the clubface. Yes, that sounds elementary, but for lots of players, it’s not at top of mind. Most of the time, it’s not because they don’t understand the concept, but rather because they don’t know what the center of the clubface even feels like. Without the aid of fancy launch monitors and other advanced tech, knowing exactly where the ball hits on the clubface can be a challenge — especially for higher-handicap players.
Add spin to your greenside chip shots with this simple technique
Every rec player wants to hit chip shots that take one hop and stop on a dime. Good news: It’s easier than it looks. The key is combining an open clubface with a downward angle of attack, and both are achievable with a few simple setup adjustments. Start by grabbing your highest-lofted wedge and positioning the ball slightly forward in your stance, just below your lead eye.
11 pieces of swing advice from the smoothest players in golf
In our quest for ease and grace and rhythm and all the things that comprise effortlessness, what could make more sense than walking in the oh-so-light footsteps of the giants? The players who make the complicated look simple, who seem to enter a flow state upon setting foot inside the ropes, who magically pull power from the ether. The ones whose buttery swings you’d kill for, with a butter knife if necessary.
As the golf season winds down, Arccos keeps me improving
I've spent another month with Arccos game-tracking but this time most of my rounds were spent testing out upcoming club releases. It's interesting to see what happens to my game when I'm not using my normal set, not to mention the new feature (or possibly one that I missed previously) that I'd love to dive into. I'm still using the Arccos Air and the Arccos Smart Laser every time I play (as long as the course is rated) and both devices have been nothing but flawless.
2026’s winning PGA Tour irons prove 1 thing: Blades still rule
Remember at the beginning of the season when Rory McIlroy switched into a set of cavity-back irons, and more pros were switching out of blades seemingly every week? That didn’t last long. Not only did McIlroy switch back to his TaylorMade RORS Proto blades before his season debut at Pebble Beach and ultimately used them to win his second-straight Masters, the first five events of the PGA Tour season were also won by blade players.
Testing the YouTube famous Takomo Irons. (Hint: They’re impressive) Original
I’ll just start here: I was late to the Takomo party. I knew the name. I’d seen the irons. I’d seen them all over YouTube and Instagram. I knew Takomo was one of those direct-to-consumer brands that had managed to build a pretty serious following without playing by the traditional golf-equipment rulebook. But knowing about something and actually hitting it are two very different things.
I switched to a mallet after this putting lesson | The Lab
I’ve been trying to hold down the fort on being a blade putter user for a long time now, and I’m still holding out hope, but a few months ago during my first-ever putting lesson with Stephen Sweeney, I was convinced to give the mallet a real “college try.” Turns out, it’s been a game changer. Let’s dive into some of the facts and I’ll explain why the mallet is in my bag, but the trusty blade still sneaks in.
McLaren Golf Series 1 irons are being freshly restocked. Pre-order while you can!
Earlier this year, McLaren Golf — the automotive and Formula 1 company — launched their first irons, the Series 1 and Series 3 models, to great fanfare. Justin Rose and Michelle Wie West were the first pros to put the irons in their bags, joining McLaren as global brand ambassadors and investors. It’s perhaps no surprise, then, that the Series 1 irons sold out almost immediately after their release.

Tommy Fleetwood’s putter journey just moved forward | Tour Report
Welcome to Fully Equipped’s weekly Tour equipment report. Every Friday of PGA Tour weeks (plus other times, if news warrants), GOLF equipment editor Jack Hirsh runs you through some of the biggest news surrounding golf clubs on Tour, including changes, tweaks and launches. Tommy Fleetwood’s new putter this week at the Tour Championship is basically a more refined version of the one he used to nab his first PGA Tour win last year at East Lake.
After what I’ve seen on Tour, 2027 is going to be an irons year
This year has been all about drivers, but if the incredible prototypes popping up on the PGA Tour are any indication, 2027 is going to be all about irons. Over the past month, we’ve seen both Srixon and Mizuno, the two biggest names in Japanese forged irons, release protos on Tour of their upcoming ZXi and Pro S-4 irons, respectively. Last week at the BMW Championship, I got to see the new ZXi and Pro S-4 models for the first time — and there’s much to like.
We toured Mitsubishi's new state-of-the-art Carlsbad HQ. It was a long time coming
Mitsubishi Golf Shafts is a juggernaut in the golf shaft world, and its headquarters now reflects that. They're one of the only companies that are completely vertically integrated, meaning they manufacture the material themselves and they've driven major trends in the shaft industry for decades. But until recently, their U.S. HQ has never really been anything to brag about, at least not for experiential testing, research, prototyping development, and ideation.
Callaway nixes Good Good partnership after driver-ad fallout
Less than a week after Callaway and Good Good Golf removed an ad for a collaborative driver that featured a man pushing a woman to the ground, the two companies are no longer working together. Callaway announced Thursday it has ended its relationship with Good Good, a YouTube Golf giant with over two million subscribers, effective immediately.
Why you shouldn’t care about this common wedge characteristic | Fully Equipped
When it comes to picking the right wedge, there are an awful lot of factors to consider, and there might be a few different options that work for your game. From shape to bounce to grind to loft to shaft to offset, the list goes on and on. On this week’s episode of GOLF’s Fully Equipped, co-host Jake Morrow explained one common wedge characterisitc that he’s actually no longer looking at when he’s picking his wedges. “I’ve started to really not care about what the bounce says at all,” Morrow said.
I already loved True’s Antigravity golf shoe. Now the new ones are my go-to Original
True Linkswear’s Antigravity might be my favorite line of golf shoes released in the last few years, but now it’s become a whole collection. And every time I’ve played golf in competition this season, I’ve done it wearing the Antigravity Pro golf shoe. The Antigravity Pro was added in three colorways to the Antigravity lineup earlier this summer and it solved my only real drawback of wearing the original Antigravity.
Who are high-lofted fairway woods actually for? | Fully Equipped
Over the last few years, perhaps no gear trend on Tour has been as hot as the usage of high-lofted fairway woods. Pros have used 5-woods for years, but now the 7-wood has become a viable option for high-speed players and even 9-woods have their fair share of users on the PGA Tour and around the world. In the recreational game, that’s left a lot of players asking if they too should take up the trend on the PGA Tour and trade their hybrids for high-lofted fairway woods.
