How is social media changing news?

Social media is allowing news to break faster, often by non-journalists. It is also leading to more mistakes as reporters rush to break news.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use social media, WordPress, InDesign, Photoshop and Excel spreadsheets.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter gives users the chance to see real-time reactions from analysts, athletes and other fans during sporting events.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am most proud of my 2012 Chicago Marathon notebook. I was able to add some color to the race and had two photographs featured.
