The UK Foreign Press Association (FPA) conducts the Young Journalist Award with the support of the Thomson Foundation. Almost 300 journalists aged 30 and under from countries with a Gross National Income (GNI) per capita of less than US$20,000 submitted their stories to 2022 competition. They wrote about corruption, war crimes, domestic violence, broken health systems, women’s rights, and many other issues that are pressing in their countries.
