A 70-year-old Indian woman from Kerala, Leela Jose, has completed a tandem skydive from about 4,000metres in Dubai, calling the experience ‘dreamlike’. A homemaker from Konnathady in Idukki district, she did the jump with Skydive Dubai while visiting her son in the UAE, experiencing a free fall before her parachute deployed at around 1,800 metres. Leela said she had long been fascinated by the idea of people jumping from planes, even before she knew it was called skydiving.
