How Technology is Helping Restoration Teams to Tackle the Skilled Labor Shortage
Managing Your Restoration Business The country is facing one of the most severe skilled labor shortages in modern history. Across construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, restoration, landscaping and other trades, companies are struggling to fill positions. According to Forbes, more than 500,000 trade jobs remain unfilled, and demand is projected to increase as infrastructure projects, housing developments, natural disasters and energy transitions are only accelerating.
Real Time, Real Work and Real Results: How Live Video Is Changing Restoration
New Products and TechnologiesManaging Your Restoration Business “Can you show me the damage?” is a question every restoration contractor asks. Joshua Chaplinsky Interview
I do work in a creative field—that field being film and television production—but in a totally uncreative capacity. I'm an Assisant Production Coordinator. Basically a glorified office manager. And while the long hours and demanding personalities don't necesarily sap me creatively, they are a drain on me mentally and physically. Film is a freelance industry, and I jump from project to project, so I tend to get most of my writing done between gigs, in frantic bursts where I treat it as my day job.
Tobias Carroll Interview
This will probably sound cliched, but: something that surprises me. The thing that's simultaneously encouraging and heartbreaking when I go through submissions is this: there's a great degree of competence on display. Most of the stories and essays I review for potential publication are good — they have a point of view, they have something to say, they're clearly the work of someone who's doing the work.

Heralds
In those days it was easy enough to get by. Looking back on it now I don’t miss the instability but I do miss the abiding sense of potential. This wasn’t my youth, but it wasn’t long after. The town was mostly walkable and the bars were open late and I liked most everyone I met. I had little to fear. We all lived on the banks of the Delaware. I kept my car garaged except for grocery runs or trips to visit family or the occasional ill-starred date.

Social Media Helps Local Designers Blend Fashion and Art, Financial Necessity and Trendy Exclusivity
Sometime between the rise of the internet and the dominance of social media, if you wanted to sell your own clothing brand online, you needed upfront money to start a website or to use online stores such as Big Cartel, Volusion, and Zazzle.
