YORK COUNTY, Pa. — It was April 23, 2007. Wes Dixon was 17 years old, shopping for a one-year anniversary gift for his girlfriend Kelsey. He landed on a Japanese Cherry Blossom sapling — in full bloom. "We were in the living room, and I had it in a little pot," Wes recalled. "She came in and was kind of like, 'what is this — a little tree?'" No master plan. No blueprint. Kelsey's mom suggested planting it in the backyard — that very night. And then, almost on a whim, they took a picture in front of it.
