Author Correction: PHGDH heterogeneity potentiates cancer cell dissemination and metastasis - Nature
Correction to: Nature https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-022-04758-2 Published online 18 May 2022 Following publication of this article, we found some assembly inaccuracies in the Extended Data of our manuscript that require correction. Notably, the raw data published in the Supplementary Information alongside our manuscript were always correct; the human errors only happened during the assembly of the Extended Data Figure panels.
Unraveling lymphoma-induced immune senescence
Most B cell lymphomas originate from the germinal center (GC), a transient and highly dynamic structure that forms within the lymphoid follicles upon antigen challenge.1 They are markedly heterogeneous and exhibit one of the highest burdens of somatic mutations among all cancers.2,3 Many of the somatic mutations occurring in aggressive lymphomas, like diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL), have the primary effect of preventing the resolution of the “pseudomalignant” GCB phenotype, ultimately

TLE4 is a repressor of the oncogenic activity of TLX3 in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia - Leukemia
Abstract T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is an aggressive hematological disease originating from the malignant transformation of T-cell progenitors, caused by the accumulation of genetic aberrations. One-fifth of T-ALL patients are characterized by ectopic expression of the homeobox transcription factor TLX3. However, the role of TLX3 in T-ALL remains elusive, partly due to the lack of suitable study models.
Selective targeting of malignant T cells - Nature Cancer
Targeted therapies that use small-molecule inhibitors for the treatment of T cell blood cancer exist only for certain subtypes, and the development of immunologically based CAR T cell therapies has been challenging. A study now exploits the fact that malignant T cells express one of two T cell receptor-β variants and investigates strategies for targeting these malignant cells while sparing half of the non-malignant T cells.

A palmitate-rich metastatic niche enables metastasis growth via p65 acetylation resulting in pro-metastatic NF-κB signaling - Nature Cancer
|
Abstract Metabolic rewiring is often considered an adaptive pressure limiting metastasis formation; however, some nutrients available at distant organs may inherently promote metastatic growth. We find that the lung and liver are lipid-rich environments. Moreover, we observe that pre-metastatic niche formation increases palmitate availability only in the lung, whereas a high-fat diet increases it in both organs.

Correction to: Nature https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-022-04758-2 Published online 18 May 2022 In the version of this article initially published, we unintentionally omitted to indicate that Extended Data Fig. 2h and Extended Data Fig. 3f display images from the same experiment. The upper panel in Extended Data Fig. 3f represents green and red channels of the same tumour region as the panel on the top left in Extended Data Fig. 2h. The lower panel in Extended Data Fig.

PHGDH heterogeneity potentiates cancer cell dissemination and metastasis - Nature
|
Abstract Cancer metastasis requires the transient activation of cellular programs enabling dissemination and seeding in distant organs1. Genetic, transcriptional and translational heterogeneity contributes to this dynamic process2,3. Metabolic heterogeneity has also been observed4, yet its role in cancer progression is less explored. Here we find that the loss of phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH) potentiates metastatic dissemination.

Mobiliteitssoldaten - Sterck Magazine
Stilstaan is achteruitgaan.
