BHP strengthens its Charities team with two senior promotions

We’re delighted to announce the promotion of two key members of our Charities team. Neil Baldwin, from our Cleckheaton office, and Nicola Adams, who is based in Chesterfield, have both been promoted to Director RI (Responsible Individual), meaning they are able to sign off client audits on behalf of the firm. Neil has been with BHP for 23 years, joining the firm as a trainee after completing his A Levels.

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has published new guidance material, “What Makes a Good Annual Report and Accounts (ARAs)”. Jane Marshall takes a look at the implications of this for the charity sector. Although this is aimed at the for-profit sector, there is a direction of travel that may impact the next charity SORP as the FRC explain that the publication can be applied to all companies, of any size, and any accounting framework.
