She's charged with developing content and editorial strategies for Amazon Ads. She works cross-functionally with teams in social, marketing, events, product, data, UX, and more.

Before Amazon, she was the Director of Social Newsgathering at NBC News where she led a global team of journalists who find, verify and report on news stories using social forensic techniques and open source intelligence tools.

What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job as a professional journalist was with CNN as a video journalist.

How is social media changing news?

Almost everyone at every moment is consuming information instantly, so stories that stand out are the ones that go deeper than a soundbite.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer to pitch stories out loud and in person around my colleagues while we are brainstorming creative ideas.
