Graduating from Sports and the Weekly
Photo Courtesy of Muhlenberg Athletics Tennis: I have played a lot of tennis in my life. When I was young and saw my dad on the weekends, it was one of our favorite things to do together in an afternoon. I remember these afternoons to be some of the most frustrating and rewarding hours of my life. My dad would stand in front, feeding ball after ball, interjecting every once in a while to say, “Don’t fight the net!” each time I would miss the ball short.
Varsity Tennis treated as a Club Team by Athletic Department
After Muhlenberg’s tennis courts were deemed unplayable for this year, the senior class expressed their frustration By: Jason Grant I have been fortunate to play on tennis courts all around the world. In New Jersey alone, I have played on too many courts to count. I have no problem playing on bad courts. Despite being one of the best high school teams in the state, my courts back then were shitty. Cracks with grass sprouting out of them were abundant.

The Turbulent Tennis Team
By: Jason Grant Co-Sports Editor The serve was going to hit the line. I’d seen a million balls hit identically, and as it was crossing the net, I knew that it was going to graze the sideline and bounce away from me. I took one big step across my body to try to cut off the angle, and smacked a desperation forehand down the line. I was nearly at the fence, so I had no chance of getting back for the next shot. But my ball sailed over the high part of the net, and landed smack on the line.

As the Mules participate in several non-scoring competitions, the hope is to have all their hard work pay off in the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday, Feb. 29-March 1. In two short weeks, the men’s and women’s track teams will compete in the first Centennial Conference Championship meet of the season. Each year, there are two Centennial Conference Championship meets, one at the end of February when the season begins, and one in late April to round out the season.

AFAs can provide needed I/O speed, and simplified administration makes them easier to deploy. All-flash arrays (AFAs) offer enhancements over hard disk drive (HDD)-based systems, especially when it comes to read/write performance and latency.
Senior golfer adds to her trophy case
Filler shot an 81 this past weekend, resulting in a first place finish. Photo Courtesy of Muhlenberg Athletics The first major of the year, the Masters, begins this month with names like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy headlining the field. Freshman Pitcher Carrying Softball to Success
The Muhlenberg softball team is off to their best start since 2014, courtesy of some stellar performances by a freshman pitcher. They have roared out of the gates, going 11-3, nearly matching last years win total of 12. All of this before they have even played a conference game. Sidelined: The Road To Recovery for Student Athletes
Student athletes often have some of the busiest schedules on college campuses. Between classes and practices, semesters practically fly by. Each student athlete obviously has a passion for their sport, or they would not spend the countless hours training for the season. But, in just one misstep, an injury could sideline an athlete for an entire season, derailing what could have been a breakout year.
On the defensive:
The Muhlenberg women’s basketball team has been forced to adjust to life without one of the greatest classes in program history. The 2014-2015 season commenced an unprecedented four year run in which the women won three straight Centennial Conference titles, a feat that had never been accomplished by any team in the Centennial’s history. In 2016-17, after securing their historic third title in a row, they finished the year ranked 14th in all of Division III.
Wrestling wins Electric City Duals Championship
While seniors Fratantoni and Cerminara were the Mule’s usual big contributors, the Mules relied heavily on some of their younger guys. Billy Moore ‘22 and Angelo Mahaffey ‘22 picked up three wins a piece in their first collegiate tournament. In fact, teammate Alex Helpin ‘21 singled out Moore on his performance, “I think one of the standouts on the season right now is Billy Moore. He just gets after it and competes.

Which app is apt: native app vs. hybrid app?
Apps on your phone can order a pizza, book a flight and call up transportation, and the typical user has no idea... what a hybrid mobile app is versus any other offering in an app store. The actual time required for a design depends on the questions you need answered.
Who is responsible for software development and design?
Let's picture trivia night, an escape room or a scavenger hunt with only one person competing. The other competitors are multimember teams with diverse backgrounds, tastes and experiences. The multimember team has many advantages over the individual, and the same is true for user experience. When it comes to software development and design, you need to rely on the entire team for multiple viewpoints and opinions to create a more beautiful and functional design.
