With plenty of cap space to spend and various potential needs after the 2026 NFL Draft, the LA Chargers will naturally be a team to watch in the free-agent market. It won't be anything close to the initial free-agency surge from March, but there are quite a few moves the Chargers could theoretically make. One of those moves is at wide receiver, where a Keenan Allen reunion seems like the most likely outcome.

Keenan Allen's future with the LA Chargers is one of the more interesting stories to come out of the 2026 NFL Draft. Allen returned to the Chargers after a long offseason standoff last year, and now, the team finds itself in a similar situation, even though there is less reason to be in said standoff. As an internal free agent, there was no reason to wait until after the NFL Draft sa it did not impact the compensatory formula.

The most discussed selection the LA Chargers made in the 2026 NFL Draft wasn't the team's first-round pick, it was the second-round pick. Offensive lineman Jake Slaughter was a bit of a surprising pick and there are strong reasons to be for and against the selection. On the positive side, Slaughter was one of the better centers in college football last season and has an athletic profile that should translate wonderfully to the NFL.
