COLUMBUS, Ohio — The longest-running film festival in the Western Hemisphere is back in Columbus, and organizers say this could be one of their biggest events in more than a decade. The Columbus International Film and Animation Festival is celebrating its 74th year, blending a deep-rooted history with a forward-looking approach to filmmaking. “We really started in 1950, and two years later, the first film festival was thrown,” festival president Brian Thomas said.
