Review | Iron Lung (2026) - Diving Far Deeper and Darker than a 'Let's Play'

startmenu — Iron Lung uses its longer run time to recreate the vivid tangibility of the short game that inspired it, and in doing so, establishes Mark Fischbach's directoral voice as one more than worth paying attention to. Jay Weaver reviews.

What Does It Take to Appreciate Turbo Kid (2024)? | Feature Excerpt UNWINNABLE Monthly #187 May 2025

Unwinnable — I wrote a feature for UNWINNABLE Monthly (#187, May 2025). This is an excerpt from the paid magazine that can be purchased on their website. Turbo Kid (2024) is an excellent indie game by Outerminds Inc. and I wrote about appreciating its best aspects, original or parody/satire, alongside an interview with Jacob Geller, and work from other excellent writers such as David Shimomura and Jay Castello. The cover of this issue is informed by my piece, and I close the magazine with the longest story and my own title page.
