Uptalk that made every statement sound like a question. It took me two minutes to get to my actual point. By then, the board member’s body language suggested he’d mentally moved on.

How generative AI is flooding the internet with synthetic certainty — and what we can still do about it. Now, I see GenAI turning the “average imagination” into a kind of superpower. For folks who say, “I’m not creative,” it suddenly feels like the best time to be creative; no fancy degree required, no years of practice or marinating an idea for months. Just a prompt, and you’re off to the races. There’s something beautiful, almost democratic, about that.
