How is social media changing news?
It's a lot easier to disseminate it and consume it, which is a benefit, but it also opens up the door for misinformation to spread so much quicker.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means providing the public with the truth, even if it's difficult to obtain and uncomfortable to share
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I don't particularly have a preference. If there's a story worth talking about it and somebody wants me to cover it - or I want to cover it myself - I'm in.

Who do you wish followed you?
In the hyper-specific world of MMA journalism, a follow from Ariel Helwani would be a huge ego boost.
Why did you become a journalist?
It was initially an extension of my passion for combat sports, but as time went on, I found a real love for the media as a field
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was the editor-in-chief for the school's PR team, which was the closest we had to a newspaper. I created match reports for our school's games, and wrote articles about the school's goings-on for their newsletter.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Getting to write about homophobia in MMA was something I had wanted to do for years. When I got the chance, it wasn't in as grand a scope as I had imagined, but it had a positive impact.
What's your favorite drink?
Day to day? Water. Non-alcoholic? Cream soda. Alcoholic? Malibu. I will not elaborate.
