UFC Freedom 250 brought so many incredible highs and lows: Justin Gaethje turning back the clock to deliver a career-best performance, a venue that delivered a spectacle never before dreamt of, and enough corporate gargling to inspire a proletariat revolution. Just as I felt conflicted by the event's politics coming into fight week, I've come out of it with mixed feelings.

Freedom, democracy, and wars for oil: the staples of the world’s most self-congratulatory country, the United States of America. To celebrate 250 years of independence from the British (something I actually can appreciate as an Irishman), the commander-in-chief of the greatest country on earth is going to do something spectacular.
