Investigators are trying to determine what led to a suspected murder-suicide on Saturday, after the bodies of a father and young child were recovered from a bay in Sydney's inner west. Shortly before 11:45am officers were called to Bayview Park in Concord following reports that a man was found dead in the waters at Parramatta River.

By Jean Kennedy, ABC Vivid Sydney festival's drone show has been cancelled for now after a technical malfunction saw drones fall from the sky, in what one eyewitness described as a "catastrophic failure". The incident occurred not long into Monday's 7:30pm "star-bound" show when almost 90 drones began falling out of formation and into the harbour around Cockle Bay.

Teenagers die in trail bike crash with bus in Bossley Park, in Sydney's west

Two teenagers have died after the petrol-powered trail bike they were riding crashed into a bus on a restricted transitway in Sydney's west, with the mayor saying he had feared such a tragedy following recent near misses on the road. NSW Police say the 15-year-old rider and his 14-year-old passenger were riding the petrol trail bike on Liverpool Parramatta Transitway, known as the T-Way, at Bossley Park just after 7pm on Monday.
