Drivers in Central Saanich are seeing another round of reduced speed limits on municipal roadways — which began with a June 1 drop to 40 kilometres an hour on a stretch of Stelly’s Cross Road. The new speed limit is on the section from Wallace Drive to East Saanich Road, where the limit was 50 km/h. The District of Central Saanich said the measure is a response to public feedback and a history of collisions in an area it describes as a busy residential zone that includes school bus stops.
