TOWN OF UNION VALE, NY — An exceptionally bad decision was compounded was compounded by exceptionally bad driving, according to police. The New York State Police say that on Sunday, at 4:44 p.m., troopers from Poughkeepsie were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to Bruzgul Road, in the Town of Union Vale, after receiving a report that an Audi had struck a home. At the scene, troopers found the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, 26-year-old Matthew D. Austin, of Dover Plains.
