Broadband is More Important than Ever!
Introduction Broadband, or high-speed Internet, is essential to the way we live, work, learn, and play. This is not a new concept. Consider the following: • Communities with access to adequate broadband connectivity are known to perform better economically than those without; therefore, inadequate broadband can become a limiting variable to staying competitive. • Studies show that K-12 students with access to broadband at home are twice as likely to attend college.
Why self-insured companies are turning to direct-to-employer contracting
(Photo: Shutterstock) As the cost for health care benefits continues to rise, direct-to-employer contracting offers a promising solution for employers looking to provide high-quality care to employees while managing costs. Commentary: What's Behind Fujifilm Acquisition of Xerox
The grapevine has been ripe the past weeks, but now the news is finally out. The two companies said that Fuji Xerox, a joint venture between Fujifilm and Xerox formed in 1962, will use bank debt to buy back Fujifilm’s 75% stake for around $6.1 billion. Fujifilm will use those proceeds to purchase 50.1% of new Xerox shares.
