FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — At their Friday meeting, Allen County Commissioners received a step-by-step account of what slowed the vote count in this month’s primary election, the first to use vote centers in Allen County. Almost each of the 53 centers had 10 machines. Each machine had its own tally card. Each card was brought by a pair of Republican and Democratic judges to the Rousseau Center to be machine counted, which was routine and supposed to go quickly.

GUILTY: Jury returns verdict on man accused in 2024 slaying of two teens

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A jury in Allen Superior Court found one of two men charged in a 2024 double killing of two teens guilty of two counts of murder Friday. Dionee White, 23, now faces up to 180 years in prison. White had been accused of shooting 17-year-old Adaija Armani Okey, a Snider High School student, and 18-year-old Lamarion Jeremiah Bailey, formerly of Fort Wayne but then residing in Georgia, while the two sat in a parked car on Romy Avenue in January 2024.

Court outlines ‘reasonable’ volume for Vinland Winery music
