At 15, I was hired by the hometown weekly to cover highschool sports. Pay was 20-cents a column inch. A terrible way to learn reporting.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I spent 15 years on a 1944 Royal that weighed 10lbs. Some people have pets.
How is social media changing news?
Citizen reporters are a double-edged sword. Immediacy is great. Disregard for the truth is extremely dangerous.
