Column: Natural gas companies fuel futures in our communities
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... March is Women’s History Month and, for both of us, it is a moment to reflect with gratitude. We share the unique honor of being the only two women leading natural gas companies in the commonwealth. While that distinction is meaningful, what inspires us most is the opportunity to serve our customers, communities and the commonwealth every day.

Columbia Gas: Your dollar at work
Inflation is up. Costs across the board are high. Affordability is an issue that’s likely affecting the lives of many Virginians — in every aspect, including the cost of energy, whether it’s electric or natural gas. We hear that sentiment in the voices of some of our Columbia Gas of Virginia customers who echo those same concerns. We are listening and continue to work on providing our customers with solutions to help them manage their energy consumption, bills and more.

Across the nation — and especially in Virginia — the development, transportation and use of energy is evolving, but the fundamental, basic human need for reliability and affordability never changes. We’ve seen this challenge play out in numerous ways, some acute, such as the frigid January temperatures that threatened our grid, and others more long-term, such as the incredible energy demand data centers and a growing Virginia population place on our energy supply.

NC Voting Trial: Closing Arguments And Questions From Federal Judge
The fate of North Carolina's voting overhaul is now in the hands of a federal judge, after a three-week trial wrapped up Friday in Winston-Salem. The overhaul cut the early voting period by a week, eliminated same-day registration, and prohibited the counting of out-of-precinct ballots. Federal judge Thomas Schroeder had a variety of questions for those suing and defending North Carolina.
