She is author of Birth Strike: The Hidden Fight Over Women's Work (PM Press, 2019) and Without Apology: The Abortion Struggle Now (Verso, 2019). She was a leader in the grassroots campaign to make “morning-after pill” contraception available over-the-counter in the United States and was a plaintiff in the winning lawsuit.
