Jere Downs’s Biography

Jere Downs is obsessed with food, health, and the post-recession economy. She writes, and cooks, for a weekly column for the Louisville Courier-Journal and writes enterprise stories on issues ranging from the Tiny House Movement to Payday Lending Abuses.
Downs is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and part of the Philadelphia Inquirer diaspora, now working for Gannett, based at the Louisville Courier-Journal.
