How is social media changing news?

The worldwide access to extremely rapid information is changing how everyone perceives events, especially outside their local area.

What's your favorite social network?

Ultimately Twitter wins out, because I really don't use any of the others, but mostly I'm just scanning for current events and Huskers news.

What's your favorite drink?

Daily: club soda. Special occasions: a Manhattan.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Playing games with my boys or practicing pedal steel guitar.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That I only know 4/4.
