Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did! I mostly did editorial and layout work, never once imagining that it would be as relevant to my future as it ended up being.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Network for everything you're worth. And remember that stories last forever in the digital age. What you write will inform your reputation.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In front of a movie or television screen, or reading, or listening to a podcast. I eat, breathe and sleep narrative entertainment.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
There are a lot of great entertainment publications. The first answer that comes to mind is Deadline, which is a daily must-read for me.
