QUINCY (WGEM) - A fairly typical early August pattern is setting up for the Tri-States with hot and humid conditions persisting through early to the middle of the coming work week. There will also be chances for showers and thunderstorms given the moisture, heat and upper-level flow, as well a frontal boundary near or north of the area, though there will be plenty of dry time as well. Temperatures look to moderate later in the coming week.

QUINCY (WGEM) - Hot and humid conditions will persist through the region into the early evening hours especially across southwestern portions of the viewing area. Thunderstorms and some clouds have brought some relief to parts if the northern and eastern tiers of the viewing area. Heat advisories will be allowed to expire at 8 PM this evening and heat index values over 100 F will continue through early evening.

QUINCY (WGEM) - High pressure and its associated drier air airmass remains in control of our weather through early Saturday morning. While clouds will be on the increase and a sprinkle or light shower or two are possible overnight (10% - 20% chance of light rain areawide) as a weak front sags into the area most of the Tri-States will stay dry through Saturday. Expect light winds with an overnight low in the low to mid-60s as clouds stick around through Saturday morning.
