Through Odyssey Camps, Meteor Crater Education Alliance launched the Girls2Space camp that invited both middle and high school girls to engage in a week of imagination, engineering and creativity through hands-on experiments, outdoor exploration and creative challenges. The free camp experience was designed to inspire young girls through hands-on science experiences, exploration and direct connections with women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Navajo County student awarded 2026 Flinn Scholarship to reach higher education with no barriers

Ciera Tsosie was 1 of 20 students in Arizona to receive the 2026 Flinn Scholarship of more than $135,000 in partnership with the state’s three public universities, recognizing students from unique communities and backgrounds. Tsosie graduated from Flagstaff High School in May with a scholarship that will allow her to continue her pursuit of bringing awareness to the disparities that Indigenous communities face.
