With the environment favorable for strong to severe storms, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued through 8 p.m. The watch includes all of North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is issued when conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to develop.

Heading into the holiday weekend, we will be tracking the heat along with the scattered shower and storm chances.
