After a two-year hiatus a popular self-serve frozen treat shop has reopened in the West End. Yo Cherry owner Carlos Francis closed his Sandys outlet in 2024 after two years in operation. "I was building my own house," the 60-year-old said. "I was running Yo Cherry in Hamilton and St George. I was working on my car and I was servicing machines at all my stores.

Shakeem Albouy has launched Working On It, an app that can help Bermuda entrepreneurs avoid them. "A lot of small-business owners in Bermuda don't even have business bank accounts," he said. He called Working On It a super app that allows you to access everything from local services and events to products.

The Bermudian-based global re/insurer Everest Group has made Craig Hanrahan its global distribution and chief commercial officer, effective August 1. Mr Hanrahan will continue to report directly to Jim Williamson, Everest's chief executive, serving as a member of the firm's executive leadership team.
