[2610.16729] Quantifying Precision in Measurement of Individualized, Evidence-Based Learning Across Sessions in Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy
Current performance criteria used in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are often based on whether a learner meets a predetermined benchmark e.g., 8 out of 10 correct responses across several sessions. Although these criteria help practitioners make instructional decisions, they provide limited information about how likely it is that the learner has truly acquired the skill.

Metallic glasses exhibit pronounced composition-dependent mechanical properties, yet identifying the structural origins of these changes remains difficult. An outstanding issue is how to correlate different forms of medium range order (MRO), defined at different length scales and accessed through different experimental observables, and to understand their connection to properties.

Community places visited and abandoned by people living with dementia in British Columbia, Canada: patterns and implications
Abstract Purpose: This study explores patterns of community participation and abandonment among older adults living with mild to moderate dementia in British Columbia, Canada. It identifies types of out-of-home places that are retained and/or abandoned over time, as well as the reasons for ongoing participation or the abandonment of places. Methods: The study uses the ACT-OUT survey and the participants included 32 community-dwelling individuals living with dementia.
Melandryoside attenuates steatohepatitis and fibrosis by restoring PPM1A-mediated SMAD signaling termination
ORIGINAL RESEARCH article Front. Pharmacol. Sec. Gastrointestinal and Hepatic Pharmacology Abstract Abstract Background Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) is characterized by hepatic steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis, yet effective pharmacological therapies remain limited. Melandrii Herba, a traditional East Asian medicinal herb used to improve blood circulation and relieve inflammatory disorders, has reported anti-inflammatory activity.
Association between blood pressure and clinical outcomes in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis
Background Despite the clinical importance of blood pressure control in patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD), evidence on the blood pressure ranges associated with favorable outcomes remains limited and inconsistent. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the data from the HD quality assessments in South Korea.
Preoperative 18 F-FDG PET/CT as a surgical triage tool for synchronous neoplasm detection in acute left-sided obstructive colorectal cancer: a two-institution retrospective cohort study
Abstract Background and objective: In acute left-sided obstructive colorectal cancer (OCC), the proximal colon cannot be evaluated endoscopically before surgery, and synchronous colorectal cancers (sCRC) and clinically significant neoplasms (CSN) may remain undetected. We evaluated the diagnostic performance of preoperative 18F-FDG PET/CT for synchronous neoplasm detection in this setting.

General experimental procedures Optical rotations were acquired using a Kruss Optronic P-8000 polarimeter with a 5-cm cell. UV spectra were recorded with a 1260 Infinity Series UV visible spectrophotometer (Agilent Technologies, Santa Clara, CA, USA) using a 0.1 cm path length. IR spectra were obtained using a Varian Scimitar Series spectrometer.
Analysis of Gene Expression Patterns Modulated by Tuberculous Pleural Effusion–Derived Exosomal miRNAs in Lung Cancer
ORIGINAL RESEARCH article Front. Genet. Sec. Cancer Genetics and Oncogenomics Abstract Introduction: Previous pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a known risk factor for lung cancer. Earlier studies have demonstrated that tuberculous pleural effusion (TPE)-derived exosomal miRNAs are involved in lung cancer progression. This study aimed to identify potential miRNA–mRNA regulatory pathways contributing to the pathogenesis of TB-associated lung cancer.
Frontiers | Delimiting species boundaries in Hosta section Capitatae (Asparagaceae) using MIG-seq and morphological analyses: taxonomic revision with new taxa from Korea and Japan
1 Introduction The genus Hosta Tratt. is widely used in gardening because of its ground-covering, glossy foliage, leaf patterns, and showy purple-to-white flowers (Jones, 1989; Chung, 1990). It is characterized by a leaf base that is abruptly tapered into the petiole, six stamens, united tepals, and purple-to-white flowers (Chen and Boufford, 2000).

Transcriptomic analysis of skin biopsies in Prurigo nodularis patients: with and without atopic dermatitis
Introduction Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder characterized by intensely pruritic and hyperkeratotic nodules, predominantly located on the extensor surfaces of the extremities and trunk (1). This debilitating condition significantly impairs quality of life, often leading to severe psychosocial stress due to persistent itching and the appearance of nodules (2, 3).

Frontiers | Characterization of the probiotic properties of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus LR6 isolated from the vaginas of healthy Korean women against vaginal pathogens
1 Introduction The human microbiome presents complex patterns throughout the body; the vaginal tract is a particular ecosystem in which one genus, Lactobacillus, is predominant (Chee et al., 2020). Because of the presence of these lactic acid-producing bacteria, healthy vaginal tracts are regularly acidic, and this acidic environment can inhibit the overgrowth of potentially harmful bacteria.

The impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions on premature births during the COVID-19 pandemic: a nationwide observational study in Korea
1. Introduction The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has brought about unexpected changes in the global society. After the first quarter of 2020, most countries decided to implement non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (1). NPIs consist of frequent hand washing, isolating infected individuals, wearing masks, closing schools and public facilities, and canceling or postponing large gatherings (2).
Childhood adversity and late-life depression: moderated mediation model of stress and social support
1. Introduction Childhood adversity, which is also often called adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), refers to children’s exposure to emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, or household dysfunction in a broad sense (1). In this study, we apply a narrower definition of childhood adversity that includes physical, emotional, sexual or general maltreatment that has occurred before the age of 18, following World Health Organization’s definition (2).

Radiation dose-event relationship after intraoperative radiotherapy as a boost in patients with breast cancer
Introduction Since recurrence in the tumour bed is most common after breast-conserving surgery (BCS), radiation boost to the tumour bed is the standard treatment for breast cancer to reduce local recurrence (1–3). Boost irradiation is carried out using electrons and/or photons up to a total dose of 10–16 Gy, resulting in a prolonged treatment time of approximately one week. The extension of the treatment period can lead to an increase in overall medical costs and patient inconvenience.
