The pathogenic role of high-titer anti-Ro52 antibodies in neonatal lupus erythematosus: insights from a 9 case series
Abstract Background: Neonatal Lupus Erythematosus (NLE) is a rare acquired autoimmune disease caused by the transplacental transfer of maternal anti-Ro/SSA and anti-La/SSB antibodies. Despite the high prevalence of these antibodies in mothers with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and Sjögren's Syndrome (SS), the clinical manifestations in neonates are highly heterogeneous, ranging from transient cutaneous lesions to life-threatening congenital heart block (CHB).
Pharyngeal Microenvironment Associated with Human Rhinovirus Infection in Children: Insights from Metatranscriptomic Sequencing
Abstract Human rhinovirus (HRV) is one of the most common causes of acute low respiratory tract infections (ALRTIs) in children and adults resulting in significant alterations in host gene expression and respiratory tract microbiome composition. We sought to clarify HRV prevalence features in children in Wuhan, and investigate interactions between HRV and host in pharynx microenvironment.
Photo-protective iodine chelate enables stable perovskite solar cells under reverse bias
Abstract Mitigating irreversible reverse-bias-induced perovskite degradation is paramount for the commercial deployment of perovskite solar modules, especially ensuring their reliability under partial shading scenarios. In n-i-p perovskite solar cells (PSCs), perovskite decomposition under reverse-bias involves the initial iodide re-distribution, followed by its oxidation and subsequent ultraviolet (UV) activation into iodine radicals, finally triggering the degradation within the perovskite.
Xanthine Oxidase Inhibitory Peptides From Sea Cucumber ( Stichopus japonicus ): Virtual Screening, Molecular Dynamics, and in Vitro Assessment
1 Introduction Hyperuricemia and gout are metabolic disorders characterized by the accumulation of uric acid (UA), the end product of purine metabolism in humans. UA levels are regulated jointly by purine-metabolizing enzymes and renal urate transporters (Long and Liu 2022). Xanthine oxidase (XOD), a key enzyme in this pathway, catalyzes the conversion of hypoxanthine to xanthine and finally to UA, making it a critical therapeutic target for hyperuricemia (Yao et al. 2022).
Intrinsically stretchable organic light-emitting-diode with high brightness and stretchability via elastic-microphase-engineered emitter and dual-embedded electrode
Abstract Intrinsically stretchable organic light-emitting diodes (is-OLEDs), composed entirely of inherently stretchable functional layers, represent a promising enabling technology for wearable electronics due to stretching and deformation endurance during the dynamic movements of the human body. However, achieving high performance and stretchability is challenging due to limited ductility in conjugated emissive materials and the low quality of stretchable transparent electrodes (STEs).
Perovskite–organic tandem solar cells with superior reverse-bias stability
|
Abstract The industrial deployment of thin-film solar cells faces challenges under reverse bias, particularly concerning perovskite materials with poor reverse-bias stability. Meanwhile, the reverse-bias characteristics of organic solar cells (OSCs) remain underexplored. This study first elucidates the mechanism that reverse tunnelling in OSCs, fundamentally dominated by deep trap state within a bulk heterojunction, triggering reversible/irreversible breakdowns under reverse bias.

A pathological classification for predicting recurrence and guiding adjuvant therapy in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma following neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy: a two-center cohort study
Abstract Background: Neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (nICT) has emerged as a promising treatment modality for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, optimal post-nICT adjuvant strategies remain undefined, and a classification system that integrates both prognosis and recurrence patterns to guide treatment decisions is currently lacking.

Real-world Practice Patterns and Safety of Concurrent Radiotherapy and Cabozantinib in Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma: Results from the International Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma Database Consortium
5. Conclusions Our study represents the largest real-world report of the use of radiotherapy in patients with mRCC treated with cabozantinib. Over half of the patients continued taking cabozantinib while radiotherapy was administered. We observed an increase in grade 1–2 toxicities with concurrent cabozantinib and SABR but not CRT; however, there was a low frequency of grade ≥3 AEs or hospitalizations with either radiotherapy modality irrespective of the concurrent use of cabozantinib or not.
