Abstract Tumor-associated macrophages are a key component that contributes to the immunosuppressive microenvironment in human cancers. However, therapeutic targeting of macrophages has been a challenge in clinic due to the limited understanding of their heterogeneous subpopulations and distinct functions. Here, we identify a clinically relevant CD19+ subpopulation of macrophages that is enriched in many types of cancer, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

2. Materials and Methods 2.1. Construction of Gene Knockout Mutants The gabT knockout strain of C. sakazakii was prepared following a previously established method [22]. Primers were designed based on the sequences of gabT and the plasmid, with details provided in Table S1. The upstream and downstream fragments of the gabT gene were obtained through amplification, after which the gabT fusion fragment was generated via overlapping PCR.
