Unity Brings Mutual Benefits: The Huddling Strategies of Temperate-Living Primates in Cold Environments
1 Introduction Animals often employ adaptable strategies mediated by integrated physiological–behavioral mechanisms to dynamically adapt to environmental variability (Gilbert et al. 2010). Cold temperatures impose significant constraints on animals’ survival and distribution by exerting both direct thermoregulatory challenges and indirect ecological pressures, such as reduced food availability and increased predation risk (Folwarczny et al. 2022; Ganz et al. 2022; Olson et al. 2021).
Effect of sacubitril/valsartan on serum uric acid and blood pressure in patients with hypertension and asymptomatic hyperuricemia: A randomized clinical trial
Abstract Hyperuricemia commonly coexists with hypertension and is associated with increased renal and cardiovascular risk, yet few antihypertensive agents lower serum uric acid. This study compared the urate-lowering effects of sacubitril/valsartan versus valsartan in adults with primary hypertension and asymptomatic hyperuricemia.

Nucleophosmin 1 promotes mucosal immunity by supporting mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and ILC3 activity - Nature Immunology
Abstract Nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) is commonly mutated in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia. Concurrent inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and MDS are common, indicating a close relationship between IBD and MDS. Here we examined the function of NPM1 in IBD and colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CAC). NPM1 expression was reduced in patients with IBD. Npm1+/− mice were more susceptible to acute colitis and experimentally induced CAC than littermate controls.
