UP Comfort Center expands on Chenango Street

(WIVT/WBGH) – With the help of the City of Binghamton, the Urban League and faith-based volunteers, a warming shelter for the homeless that was at risk of closing is now expanding instead. The UP Comfort Center inside of United Presbyterian Church on Chenango Street is closing next Thursday. However, it will reopen as the Overnight Center at UPC on July 1.

Bing Bottling celebrates one year of bottling its own sauce

(WIVT/WBGH) – An 80-year-old Binghamton business known for its iconic tomato sauce is celebrating one year of bottling its sauce on its own. Bing Bottling on Broad Avenue held a unique pasta ribbon cutting this afternoon. It's owned by the Lisio family which for generations has run Little Venice Restaurant downtown.
