Read Full Bio →Jim Gunshinan is a widely published science writer, poet, and essayist. He edited Home Energy Magazine and was a science blogger for KQED, the San Francisco Bay Area PBS affiliate. He became a full-time freelance writer in 2020.
WingIt Press published a chapbook of his poetry, What the Body Wants, and his poetry appears in several anthologies, including Dance, Word, Dance, and the 2008 Squaw Review.

My first real journalist job was with the San Francisco Bay Area PBS affiliate KQED. I covered science happenings in the Bay Area.

IBM Selectric in grad school
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use the Microsoft Office software, and Adobe Pro.
