Written by: Jim Madden, CFA, Tony Tursich, CFA, and Beth Williamson Summary Points: Robust corporate earnings and profit margins mask the risks of a narrow market. Historically, when momentum-driven markets unwind, quality disciplines have been rewarded. Calamos Antetokounmpo Sustainable Equities Fund (SROIX) has been positioned for the turn, and we believe our well-diversified portfolio of quality core growth names will enjoy strong tailwinds in a more risk-aware environment.
Letter to the editor: SeeBozemanCreek aims to help namesake stream heal, thrive
The recent Chronicle story (“Listening to the Creek”, Nov. 12) was thorough, factual and deeply sourced. Kudos go to Nora Shelly and the Chronicle. Now is the time to reimagine what has been neglected, overlooked and built over. Let’s See Bozeman Creek with fresh eyes: What do we value? Does Bozeman Creek reflect who we are as a community? What can we do to honor and revitalize our namesake waterway?
Bilicska and Kogan for Borough Council
As a former councilman who served New Providence for 2 terms in office, it’s important to share that experience and skill sets are important to demonstrate before seeking a seat on Borough Council. It is the years of volunteering and professional business experience that prepared Diane Bilicska and Alex Kogan to do great things for New Providence, and it’s for these reasons that I support them for re-election on November 4th.
Taking issue with our positions
I read your paper just about every week. I read The Paper’s Position in the Feb. 26-March 4 edition and I wanted to respond. First, it is the government’s job to serve and protect the citizens, first and foremost. It is not the government’s responsibility to provide financially for the populace. Joe Biden DID NOT control illegal immigration into our country. A huge failure in security.

On the Pleasures of Outrage
Church politics and media frenzies are not topics that typically interest me. Nevertheless, since the now infamous commencement address at Benedictine College, a lot of people have reached out to me for my take on the issue, and I probably have a professional obligation to comment with some nuance, if I can muster it. Thus, for good or ill, here is my attempt to do so.

Open lands levy critical toward managing our growth
In 2000 and again in 2004, Gallatin County voters passed bonds creating the Open Lands Program to a tune of $20 million. In 17 years, the program has conserved 50,000 acres of farms, ranches, wildlife migration corridors and habitat. We helped protect our rivers, streams and wetlands that provide clean water for our burgeoning population. This citizen guided program has clearly been a success with reasonable cost. Our previous investment leveraged $5 of matching funds for every $1 of taxpayer money.
6 Lessons for Leveraging Leadership on Your Company’s Board
One of the first rules of great leadership is knowing who to turn to for help. This has been evident time and again with effective captains of industry and great U.S. Presidents. No CEO alone possesses all the required skills, which is why the people they surround themselves with are crucial. Much attention has been paid to the importance of a deep bench in a company’s C-Suite, but less emphasis is placed on the importance of fully leveraging the leadership experience on a corporate board.
