Jev: Decision Models on Trial
How does a question-answering architecture stack up against traditional classification on content safety tasks? Jev’s been making the rounds lately, and for good reason — instead of generating prose, it answers named questions directly with a probability or score, which is a neat trick if you’ve spent any time wrangling classifier outputs. Naturally, that got us curious: how does this new breed of decision model actually hold up against a traditional, purpose-built classifier?
Cisco AI Defense: Built for the Way AI Is Actually Used
Enterprise AI operates in conversations — multilingual, multi-turn, and context-dependent. A guardrail that performs only on English single-turn prompts cannot protect what enterprises are actually building. In a recent independent benchmark by ML6 on 80,000 Dutch-language prompts, Cisco AI Defense led the cohort of providerswith the highest F1 score. 01 A Note on Semantics AI safety labels only work when everyone agrees on what they mean.

The Role of Infarct Border Zone Remodelling in Ventricular Arrhythmias: Bridging Basic Research and Clinical Applications
1 Introduction Myocardial infarction (MI) is one of the most prevalent diseases globally, characterised by a high incidence of mortality and significant economic costs. Although advancements in MI treatment have enhanced survival rates following ischaemic cardiac injury, MI continues to account for over 15% of annual deaths. Cardiac remodelling after MI is a progressive process: once initiated, it leads to further deterioration of cardiac function or progresses to heart failure (HF).

Local Water Inrush Risk Assessment Method Based on Moving Window and Its Application in the Liangshuijing Mining Area
1. Introduction Due to the depletion of coal reserves in eastern China, China’s northwest mining regions have become the primary coal-producing regions [1,2,3]. The major geological hazard faced by coal mines in the western regions is roof water inrush, which limits safe and efficient coal mining [1,2,3]. Numerous roof water inrush disasters have occurred in the western mining regions in recent years, causing significant casualties and substantial financial damages [1,2,3].

A novel GBDT-BiLSTM hybrid model on improving day-ahead photovoltaic prediction - Scientific Reports
Abstract Despite being a clean and renewable energy source, photovoltaic (PV) power generation faces severe challenges in operation due to its strong intermittency and volatility compared to the traditional fossil fuel power generation. Accurate predictions are therefore crucial for PV’s grid connections and the system security. The existing methods often rely heavily on weather forecasts, the accuracy of which is hard to be guaranteed.

Generation of High Temporal Resolution Full-Coverage Aerosol Optical Depth Based on Remote Sensing and Reanalysis Data
Abstract : Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) is a crucial physical parameter used to measure the radiative and scattering properties of the atmosphere. Obtaining full-coverage AOD measurements is essential for a thorough understanding of its impact on climate and air quality. However, satellite-based AOD products can be affected by abnormal weather conditions and high reflectance surfaces, leading to gaps in spatial coverage.

Achieving Safe Liberation During Weaning From VV-ECMO in Patients With Severe ARDS
Background Weaning from venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VV-ECMO) has not been not well studied. VV-ECMO can be discontinued when patients tolerate noninjurious mechanical ventilation (MV) during a sweep gas-off trial (SGOT). However, predictors of safe liberation are unknown. Research Question Can safe liberation from VV-ECMO be predicted at the bedside?
Interleukin-37 as a biomarker of mortality risk in patients with sepsis
Highlight • Sepsis is a serious syndrome that interferes with patient homeostasis and has a high mortality rate. To our knowledge, this is the first document of using IL-37 to predict mortality risk in patients with sepsis. • We confirmed that the value of serum IL-37 on admission to predict the 28-day mortality of patients with sepsis was second only to the SOFA score, but higher than the commonly used clinical inflammation markers PCT and Hs-CRP, similar to IL-6.
